Roanoke, VA - A beautiful Saturday afternoon was the backdrop for the Hollins tennis team's celebration of their seniors. Senior Day featured an out of conference match with Trinity University of Washington D.C.  Hollins took a moment before the start of their match to honor their five seniors.

Victoria Coffee (Plano, TX), Tiffany Hodges (Vinton, VA), Ashley Gao (Pearland, TX), Anh Nguyen (Ha Noi, Vietnam), and Rikako Hirayama (Tokyo, Japan) all had a hand in securing a 9-0 sweep of Trinity. 

Coffee picked up her eighth win of the month at #1 singles and teamed with Gao to win at #2 doubles.  Gao fought the heat to pick up her second win versus no loses in individual play this season.  Hodges teamed with Jhovanna Salmeron (Zebulon, NC) to win for the fourth consecutive match at #1 doubles.  Hodges swept her opponent at #2 singles while Salmeron won at #3, dropping just a single game.  Htet Myat San (Mandlay, Myanmar) continued her stellar play by winning her seventh singles match of the season including four in a row.

Hollins will wrap up ODAC play on Tuesday afternoon when they play host to Lynchburg College.  The match with the Hornets is scheduled to begin at 4:30pm and regardless of the outcome, Hollins will be the #7 seed in the 2015 ODAC Women's Tennis Tournament.  The tournament will start with the quarterfinal round next Sunday, April 26th.
