Swimming has Strong Start to 2019-20 Season

GREENSBORO, NC -- The Hollins swim team kicked off their season on Saturday, taking on the field at the Guilford Invitational. 

When the pool settled, HU came away with a third place finish and had strong showings from all their swimmers. 



Hanna DeVarona: 3rd Pentathalon (swimming in at least 5 events), 12th-100 fly, 18th-100 back, 5th-100 breast, 10th-100 free and 5th-200 IM. 

Alex Sanchez: 5th-100 freestyle, 4th-100 fly, 5th-50 free and 4th-200 free. 

Megan Bull: 11th-100 Back and 16th-100 free. 

Emily Miehlke: 5th-100 back, 6th-100 free, 12th-50 free, 2nd-200 free. 

Summer Jaime: 18th-100 fly, 10th-100 breast and 18th-50 free. 

Jules Brell: 26th-50 free, 21st-100 fly and 14th-100 breast. 

Molly Sullivan: 16th-100 fly, 21st-100 back, 15th-100 free and 9th-200 free. 



DeVarona, Sanchez, Bull and Miehlke: 2nd-200 free and 2nd-200 medley. 

Jaime, Brell, Sullivan and Emily Clarke: 9th-200 free.


What's Next

Hollins swim will travel up I-81 for the ODAC Relays next Saturday, hosted by Washington and Lee. The meet is scheduled to start at noon.
