Kevin Board was named head tennis coach at Hollins University in the Fall of 2026.

Board brings a unique combination of collegiate coaching experience, student-athlete leadership, recruiting expertise, and higher education administration to the Hollins tennis program. A former NCAA student-athlete and assistant tennis coach at Ferrum College, Board has spent much of his professional career working in higher education, developing talent, mentoring students and employees, and building strong organizational cultures.

Board most recently serves as Ferrum College's Talent & Culture Manager, leading campus-wide recruitment and retention efforts while collaborating with institutional leadership on strategic initiatives focused on employee engagement and organizational effectiveness.
Prior to his current role, Board held several leadership positions at Ferrum College, including Human Resources Specialist & Risk Management Coordinator and Executive Assistant for Administration. Board's coaching foundation was built at Ferrum, where he served as an assistant tennis coach from 2008 to 2010. In that role, he assisted with all facets of the program, including player development, practice planning, match preparation, recruiting support, and student-athlete mentorship.

As a student-athlete, Board was a four-year member of the Ferrum College men's tennis team and was elected team captain for two consecutive seasons. He also served as President of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), representing the voice of student-athletes and collaborating with athletics administrators to enhance the student-athlete experience. Board earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
