    The Hollins lacrosse team took the field for the final time in 2019 when they traveled to face Montreat on Wednesday afternoon. With a win over the Cavaliers, Hollins would enjoy their best season since they won six games back in 2001.
  • Knights End Hollins Streak

    The 2019 Hollins lacrosse team looked to defend her home field for the final time on Saturday afternoon. The Green and Gold brought a four game win streak to Berkley Field as they played host to Southern Virginia University. Prior to the opening draw, Hollins took an opportunity to honor her five seniors: Mara Smith, Sydney Clark, Valerie Heflin, Allie Helmbrecht, and Kaleigh DePetro.
  • Hollins Holds Off Rivals For Fourth Consecutive Win

    The Hollins lacrosse team took a three game win streak on the road as the traveled to face their long time rivals from Sweet Briar. With a win over the Vixens, Hollins would post their most wins since 2011 and run their win streak to a total not seen in over a decade.

    The Hollins lacrosse team looked to run their mid-season win streak to three in a row when they traveled to take on Salem College. The Green and Gold used a 6-0 run to start the game as they took control early and cruised to the win.
  • Hollins Makes It Two In A Row

    After picking up their first win of the season on Friday over Randolph, the Hollins lacrosse team embarked on a two game road trip through North Carolina during Spring Break. The first game would be a stop in Rocky Mount to face North Carolina Wesleyan on Tuesday afternoon.

    The Hollins lacrosse team welcomed a long-time rival on Friday afternoon when Randolph College came to town for a pre-break matchup of long time Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) foes. Hollins fell to the WildCats last April and would use a hot start as they looked to exact a bit of revenge on their rival.
  • Helmbrecht Nets Four Versus Wolves

    The Hollins lacrosse team hosted Keuka College in the first of two games over the next three days. The Wolves brought their 3-0 record south to play a couple of games over break while Hollins will finish up their home stand this week before embarking on a Spring Break trip of their own.
  • First Road Challenge For Hollins

    For the first time this season, the Hollins lacrosse team went on the road when they made the trip to Raleigh to face William Peace University in a rare game under the lights. Hollins entered the game winless while the Pacers were putting their perfect, 4-0, record on the line.
  • Quakers Strike Quickly Against Hollins
    March 11, 2019
    The fourth of a quartet of home games to start the 2019 season took place on Monday afternoon. After falling to Ferrum, 10-5, on Saturday, the Hollins lacrosse team was back in action against Earlham College. The Quakers used a quick start, five goals in the game's first eight minutes of play would set the tone for the entire game.
  • Hollins Strikes First Against Panthers

    The Hollins lacrosse team played their third consecutive home game to start the season. The newest Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) competitor, Ferrum College, was in town for a Saturday matchup. Hollins would score first but four straight Panther goals gave the visitors a lead heading into the break.
  • Slow Start Hurts Hollins

    Monday marked the second of four consecutive home games to open the 2019 lacrosse season. After falling to Averett in their opener, Hollins looked to rebound against a Wesley College team that was making their season debut. The Wolverines wasted little time in getting the scoring started, with their first tally in the opening two minutes of play.
  • Hollins Falls In 2019 Debut

    The Hollins lacrosse team opened up the 2019 season with a visit from Averett University. The Cougars came in having played a pair of matches and used a big first half to pull away from the home team by controlling much of the action in the Hollins zone. At the final horn, Averett ran their early season mark to 2-1 while Hollins fell to 0-1.
