Angela Gentry was named to the cross country staff at Hollins in the fall on 2022. Most recently, she was an assistant coach at Lord Botetourt High School for four years under Robert Sullivan, Jr. She has also been a competitive gymnastics coach and a VHSL judge.
As a cross country coach, Gentry focuses on injury prevention, recovery, and strength, while encouraging runners at all levels to challenge themselves and reach new goals.Â
Gentry has been an avid runner for thirty years; more recently focusing on half- and full marathon distances, and has qualified for the Boston Marathon. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia and has three children and two grandchildren.
