The Lead: After falling to #2 Lynchburg in the morning, the Hollins riding team was back in action against Bridgewater. The event was held at the University of Lynchburg facility in Rustburg. Hollins would split the fences matchups and the score was tied at 2-2 heading to the flat. Hollins won three of the four head-to-head matches to win their first ever NCEA event by the final score of 5-3 over Bridgewater.

Highlights 

• Olivia Aul won her third point of the day with an 82-78 victory aboard Luna.
• Riding Bravo, Lauren Williams picked up a 73-70 win to send the match onto the flat in a 2-2 tie. Hollins just missed out on the lead when Nora Robbins got nipped 86-85 in her match.
• Robbins went first and posted an 82-79 win while riding Eragon.
• Grace Margaret Trahnstrom put Hollins on the brink of their first NCEA win with a 75-70 victory.
• Aul wrapped up a perfect 4-4 day when she rode Carl to an 85-81 score to secure the win for the Green and Gold. For her efforts, the first year was named Most Outstanding Player (MOP) on the flat.
• The win marked the first win for the Hollins riding team as they entered NCEA competition this fall for the first time.
