HU Falls to Eagles on the Road

The Lead: A rescheduled match with Bridgewater was on tap for the Hollins tennis team. It is the first of two road matches to wrap up the regular season of the 2024-25 Hollins tennis season. The Eagles would take the doubles point by sweeping the three opening matchups. Hollins picked up a win at #1 singles but it wasn't enough as Bridgewater would pick up the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) win 6-1.
 
Highlights:
  • The #3 doubles pairing of Elizabeth Angelo and Zilina Robinson fell 6-2.
  • First-year Peja Cruise earned an ODAC win at the top singles spot with a 6-1 and 6-1 victory.
  • Robinson lost a hard-fought match at #6, falling 4-6 and 5-7. At the #3 spot, Rachel Hull lost the opener but forced a tiebreaker in set two. The first-year would eventually be stopped with a 2-7 tiebreaker, 3-6 and 6-7.
