The Lead: In order to try to beat the rain, the Hollins vs. Lynchburg tennis match that was scheduled for 2:00pm moved to noon and started with singles matches. The Green and Gold picked up the win at the top spot but failed to add any more individual wins, falling to the hornets, 5-1, in the weather shortened match.

Highlights:

• Jessica Willebeek-LeMair stayed unbeaten on the season with a 6-2 and 6-2 win.
• Millie Shaw (#2) fell 1-6 and 0-6.
• #3 singles would see Peyton Jones bested 1-6 and 1-6.
• Charlie Miller (#4) was defeated 2-6 and 0-6.
• The #5 spot would see Carlia Kearney battle deep into both sets before falling 4-6 and 2-6.
• The final singles match would see Izzy Ingwerson fall 3-6 in the opener before losing 0-6 in set number two.
