SWEET BRIAR, Va. - In a clash of the ODAC's two all-women's athletic departments, the Vixens of Sweet Briar College bested the Green and Gold tennis team, 9-0. 

The Vixens came into the matchup currently in first place in the ODAC and winners of four of their last five. It was a tough draw for the young Hollins tennis squad and one they hope to build on for their final three matches of the season. All three doubles teams (Elizabeth Eubank/Emily Jones - #1, Catherine Bussani/Katherine Komarek - #2 and Carlia Kearney/Isabelle Ingwerson - #3) fell to Sweet Briar 0-8. 

In singles, HU's #1, #3, #4 and #5 fell to SB in straight sets, 0-6, 0-6. #2 lost the first set 0-6 before retiring in the second. #6, Jessica Alexander, dropped her match 1-6, 0-6, playing in her first singles match of the season. 

HU won't have much time to think about this one as they'll head to Ferrum for a 1 pm matchup with the Panthers on Saturday.
