Alyssa Reed of the volleyball team is the Hollins Student-Athlete of the Week. In their regular season finale, Hollins swept Mid-Atlantic Christian in front of their home fans. Reed registered 16 kills, the most of her first year campaign. In 24 matches, the Roanoke native finished with 160 kills, leading the team and finishing just outside the top 20 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) in total kills while finishing the year with 2.08 kills per set.
