Ariana Gutierrez of the basketball team is the Hollins Student-Athlete of the Week. Hollins opened the 2023-24 hoops season by going 1-1 last week. Gutierrez was the leading scorer with 14 against Shenandoah in the opener. In a 73-38 win at Mary Baldwin, the sophomore forward scored 11 points to go with five rebounds. Gutierrez is currently 10th in the ODAC in scoring at 12.5 ppg. Her seven 3-pointers are 2nd in the league while her three-point shooting percentage of 46.7% ranks 5th.
