Katherine Komarek of the swim team is the Hollins Student-Athlete of the Week. On Saturday, Komarek was honored as the lone senior of the swim team for 2023-24. After the pre-meet ceremony, the senior went out and won two individual races and was part of two relay wins over Gallaudet. Katherine finished atop the field in the 1000 Freestyle and the 50 Butterfly. In the 200 Medley and 200 Freestyle Relays, Katherine helped her team to two more wins, giving her four on the afternoon. The swim team is in the midst of a three-meet win streak and has now has a 3-3 dual-meet record for the season.
