Carrie Nelson of the volleyball team is the Hollins Student-Athlete of the Week. The Green and Gold opened conference play this past week. In a mid-week matchup with Shenandoah, Nelson recorded 10 kills with just two errors and hit .267 for the match. Nelson added a service ace and seven digs versus the Hornets. The outside hitter is leading the team with 85 kills, 2.36 kills per set on 335 total attacks and is currently 9th in the ODAC in kills and 8th in kills per set during conference play.
