Elyssa Parker of the Hollins riding team is the Hollins Student-Athlete of the Week. This past weekend Hollins riders competed at the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) Regional Show. To be eligible to compete, a rider had to earn their way to a berth throughout the IHSA regular, fall and spring, seasons. Parker, a sophomore from Mechanicsville (Va.), earned a spot in the Novice Flat class. Her runner-up finish at the Regional Show qualified Parker for a trip to the Zone Finals on April 1st, in Baltimore, Md. The Zone Finals will be hosted by Goucher College.
