Elizabeth Lowry of the cross country team is the Hollins Student-Athlete of the Week. On Friday, Hollins traveled to Harrisonburg to compete at the 2026 EMU Heritage XC Invitational. Lowry posted a collegiate best 5K time of 23:28.5 to help Hollins to a 4th place finish in their season debut. The sophomore's final time is currently the 4th best 5K effort in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) this season and places Lowry in 12th place in the Hollins Cross Country record book for that distance.
