Kamani Watkins of the track & field team is the Hollins Student-Athlete of the Week. At the 2026 Dennis Craddock Coaches Classic, Watkins posted personal bests in both the Discus and Javelin. In the Discus, the first-year recorded a distance of 24.31m, putting her 7th in the Hollins outdoor record book. In the Javelin, Watkins put her name 5th in program history with a personal best effort of 20.74m. Kamani and her teammates have one more regular season meet before the 2026 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Outdoor T&F Championships at the end of the month.
