2018 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Cross Country Championships were held in Winchester on Saturday morning. The 6K event was hosted by Shenandoah and featured 12 conference teams racing for the title.
The Hollins cross country team was back in action after Hurricane Florence cancelled last weekend's race in Blacksburg. The team would get an advance look at the very course they will tackle at the end of the season at the 2018 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Cross Country Championships in late October.

The Hollins cross country team took the course in Staunton for the Gold Acorn Invitational on Saturday morning. Hollins would challenge host Mary Baldwin as the two long time rivals would square off in a dual meet.
The Hollins University cross country team faced outside competition for the first time on Friday evening. The team traveled to Virginia Tech to run in the nine team invite. Hollins was one of two NCAA DIII schools in a field that included DI programs; Virginia Tech, Radford, Liberty, VMI, and Longwood as well as Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) favorite, Washington and Lee.
The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) released their 2018 Women's Cross Country Preseason Poll on Thursday afternoon. Hollins, as voted on by the conference coaches, was picked tied with newest member Ferrum College for the 12th spot.
