The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) held it's 2017 Cross Country Championships on Saturday morning. Hollins traveled to compete in the 12 team, 94 runner field on the course in Virginia Beach. Hollins placed 10th, one spot ahead of her arch rivals from Sweet Briar.
The Hollins University cross country team took the starting line for the last time this regular season when they tackled the 6K course at the Gettysburg Invitational. 282 runners representing 35 different institutions got together for a 10:30 am start.
The Hollins cross country team traveled to Sweet Briar to face her long time rivals in a dual meet. The two Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) foes would send a total of 13 runners out on a 6K course. Despite having one less runner, Hollins top her rival by three points, making it 2-0 this season against the Vixens.
The Hollins cross country team traveled to North Carolina to compete in the 34th Annual Greensboro XC Invitational. Six Hollins runners competed in a field of 47 racers from eight different NCAA DIII schools.
For the first time this season, the Hollins cross country team was in action when they traveled to Blacksburg to compete in the, 14 team, Virginia Tech Alumni Invitational. Hollins was one of six DIII teams in the field.
The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) released their 2017 Women's Cross Country Preseason Poll on Wednesday afternoon. In just their second season, Hollins was selected to finish 11th, one spot ahead of her arch rivals from Sweet Briar College.
