Hollins Picked 10th In ODAC Poll

Hollins was picked 10th in the ODAC preseason poll

Forest, VA - The 2019 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Women's Tennis preseason poll was released on Thursday afternoon. Hollins, as voted on by the league's coaches, was picked to finish 10th in the 13 team conference.

With the addition of Ferrum College this season, the women's tennis division of the ODAC went from 12 to 13 teams heading into the 2019 spring season. Washington and Lee, the perennial conference favorite, was once again picked to win the league and received 12 of the 13 first place votes. The only other school to receive a first place vote, Randolph-Macon, was tabbed runner-up with University of Lynchburg rounding out the top three.

Returning three starters from last year's squad, Hollins received 45 points in the poll and were picked to finish ahead of Shenandoah, Ferrum, and Guilford. With 62 points, Hollins arch rivals from Sweet Briar were voted two spots ahead of the Green and Gold.
