  • Senior Day For Hollins Tennis
    April 27, 2019
    Saturday marked the final day of the 2018-19 tennis regular season. Hollins played host to Emory & Henry in their final Old Dominion Athletic (ODAC) match of the season. Prior to the match, the Hollins team took a moment to recognize their lone senior, Anna Holland.
  • Hornets Best Hollins In Rescheduled Match

    The University of Lynchburg drove to Hollins on Saturday April 13 only to have to turn around and make the hour trip home as the skies opened up and soaked the Batten Tennis Center. Wednesday afternoon marked the make up for the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) tennis match between the Green and Gold and the conferences second ranked team.
  • Hollins Takes Showdown With Rival

    The annual match up on the tennis courts with arch rival Sweet Briar had to wait a few days after weather postponed Friday's originally scheduled date. The weather was worth the wait as Tuesday was by far the nicest day of the spring season.

    After having to postpone a tennis match with Lynchburg last Saturday, the Hollins tennis team will once again have to wait before facing Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) competition until after Easter. Today's match with Sweet Briar has been rescheduled for Tuesday, April 23 at 4:00pm.

    In a rare, late season, non-conference match, Hollins traveled to face Mary Baldwin on Wednesday afternoon. The Green and Gold looked for her second straight win against outside Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) competition.

    Hollins made the short trip to Salem for the annual matchup of cross-town rivals. Roanoke College played host to a Hollins team looking to get back on track after a pair of tough outings against the Old Dominion Athletic Conference's (ODAC) best. The Maroons marked the third straight opponent in the top four in the conference standings.

    The Hollins tennis team was back in action after the wet weather forced a postponement with Lynchburg on Saturday afternoon. The Green and Gold made the short trip north to Lexington to face the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) leading Generals of Washington and Lee on Sunday morning.

    After winning a shorthanded match against Trinity in Washington, DC on Saturday, Hollins wrapped up their two match road trip with a visit to Shenandoah on Sunday afternoon. Hollins looked to extend their current win streak that started against Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) rival Guilford College on March 21st.

    After being out of action for almost two weeks, the Hollins tennis team began their month of April with a two-match road trip. The first stop would be in the nation's capital to face Trinity College (D.C) in a non-conference matchup.

    For the second time in two days and the third in four, the Hollins tennis team defended her home courts on Monday afternoon. Meredith College made the trip from Raleigh in a battle of two teams looking for their first win of the spring.

    The Hollins tennis team was back in action for the second of three matches in four days when they played host to Salem College on Sunday afternoon. It was a sandwich match after falling to Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) rival Randolph College on Friday, while waiting for a visit from Meredith College on Monday.

    For only the second time this spring, the Hollins tennis team went on the road in search of a non-conference victory. A trip to Averett was on tap for Thursday afternoon. The road match with the Cougars was just the second in their first five matches.

    The the third time in less than 72 hours, the Hollins tennis team defender her home courts. After playing host to a pair of Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) rivals on Sunday, Hollins hosted Bridgewater College in the Eagles 2019 conference debut.

    A rainy Sunday morning cleared up for the first of three matches on the courts at the Batten Tennis Center. Hollins played host to Virginia Wesleyan to kick off the festivities as the weather broke and and the teams took the courts about two hours after the scheduled start time.

    The 2019 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Women's Tennis preseason poll was released on Thursday afternoon. Hollins, as voted on by the league's coaches, was picked to finish 10th in the 13 team conference.

    The Hollins tennis team wrapped up the fall portion of their schedule with a trip to newest Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) member Ferrum. The Panthers played host to Hollins, Salem College, and UVa-Wise in their Fall Invitational.
  • Kosicki Named Head Tennis coach
    July 27, 2018
    Director of Athletics Myra Sims is pleased to announce the hiring of Alex Kosicki to lead the Hollins tennis program. After a nationwide search, Kosicki is scheduled to take over the day-to-day operations of the program on August 6th.
