  • Hollins Swimmers Honored By CSCAA
    June 21, 2017
    For the first time in the 95-year history of the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) more than 700 teams have received Scholar All-America recognition. In total, 720 teams, representing 443 institutions achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the Spring 2017 Semester.
  • Dani Raymond Honored By ODAC

    The annual Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) swim awards were given out this past weekend at the 2017 ODAC Swim Championships in Greensboro. In addition to helping the team earn a fifth place finish, co-captain Dani Raymond was named the 2106-17 recipient of the Bonnie Kestner Sportsmanship Award.
  • Hollins Finishes Fifth At ODAC Championships

    The third and final day of the 2017 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championships was held on Sunday. The final heats at the Greensboro Aquatic Center took place at 6pm and featured the final six events of the championship meet. Hollins was represented in each of the final races and wrapped up the competition with swimmers earning the most finals appearances in over a decade. By finishing ahead of their rivals from Sweet Briar, Hollins wrapped up a perfect season against the Vixens, besting them at the ODAC Relays, a tri-meet, and at the Championships.

    After positioning themselves in fifth after the first day of the 2017 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Swim Championships, Hollins looked to solidify their position on day two. Two relays and five individual events would be decided on Saturday. Hollins placed six different individuals in the final heats and pulled away from their arch rivals from Sweet Briar heading into the final day.

  • Hollins Swimmers Recognized By CSCAA

    The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced their fall Scholar All American Teams on Tuesday afternoon. Hollins was once again recognized by the organization. The team posted a 3.27 GPA during the fall team, earning the designation of Scholar All American.
  • Hollins Dominant In Finale

    For the final time this regular season, the Hollins University swim team was in action. Hollins welcomed Ferrum College for a dual meet on Saturday afternoon and it marked the final competitive swim in advance of the 2017 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championships. Hollins won eight of the 11 events to wrap up the regular season with a dominating performance, 90-67.
  • Hollins Takes A Pair In Greensboro
    January 20, 2017
    The Hollins swim team took a trip to North Carolina to swim a quad meet. Greensboro, Guilford, and Chowan would join Hollins in the pool for 11 events, nine individual swims and a pair of relays. Hollins defeated Greensboro (84-67) and Guilford (103-41) but couldn't pull off the sweep, falling to Chowan (66-100).
  • Hollins faces Wasps And Eagles In Pool

    For the first time after the turn of the calendar, the Hollins swim team was in the poll against Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) competition. Bridgewater College would host Hollins and Emory & Henry in a tri-meet on Saturday afternoon. Considering the long layoff, Hollins recorded several impressive swims as the deep rosters of their conference rivals topped the green and gold.

    The Hollins swim team competed for the final time in 2016 with the completion of the Yellow Jacket Invitational, hosted by Randolph Macon. Hollins finished the two-day event with several personal and season best times heading into the holiday break.

    The Hollins swim team traveled to Ashland to compete one last time before the Holiday break. Hollins was one of 14 different schools to send swimmers into action at the Yellow Jacket Invitational, hosted by Randolph-Macon.

    Saturday marked the final dual meet of 2016 for a Hollins swim team looking to make her mark against one of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference's (ODAC) best teams. Emory & Henry came into the season picked to finish second in the ODAC Women's Swimming Preseason Poll.
  • Swimming Splits Tri-Meet

    The Hollins swim team returned to her home pool on Saturday when they hosted Ferrum and Gallaudet in a tri-meet. Hollins bested the Panthers, 106-58, but fell to the Bison, 98-94, for their first loss of the meet season.
  • Hollins Tops Sweet Briar On Road

    After opening the season with a sweep of Guilford and Greensboro at home, the Hollins swim team traveled to face their rivals from Sweet Briar on Saturday afternoon. Hollins competed in a tri-meet with the Vixens and Cedar Crest. Hollins has already defeated Sweet Briar earlier this season when they bested the Vixens at the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Relays.
  • Hollins Starts Season With Sweep

    After swimming in a pair of invitational style events, the Hollins swim team entered one on one competition when they hosted Greensboro and Guilford in a tri-meet. Not only was it the first dual meets for Hollins, it was the first chance to swim in their own pool during competition. Hollins won five of the 10 events and used those first place points to pick up two victories on Saturday afternoon.
  • Swimming 5th At ODAC Relays

    For the first time this season, the best swimmers in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) competed in the same pool. Saturday was the ODAC Relay meet hosted by Washington and Lee. The one day team event consisted of 10 relay races that were contested at different distances and in different disciplines.

    The Hollins swim team opened their 2016-17 season with a trip to South Carolina to compete in the Converse College All Women's Invitational. Hollins placed fourth, one spot and 17 points clear of their arch rivals from Sweet Briar College.

    Friday marked a pair of milestones for the 2016-17 edition of the Hollins swim team. Hollins is to open their season later tonight when they compete in the Converse All Women's Invitational in South Carolina. But first tings first, the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) announced it's Women's Swimming Preseason Poll.

    The Hollins University swim team continued her fantastic season by being recognized by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA). The team was named All Academic in the Fall of 2015 and in the Spring of 2016, the squad was once again honored for their work in the classroom.
