    United Soccer Coaches announced the Team Ethics and Sportsmanship Award recipients for high school and college soccer programs competing in the fall season. Today’s awards recognize a total of 163 teams across the country for exhibiting fair play, sporting behavior and adherence to the laws of the game.
  • Hollins Tops Sweet Briar On Senior Day

    October 28, 2017 will go down as a big day in the history of Hollins Athletics. The game field was renamed to honor Hollins icon Marjorie Berkley and the ceremony happened to take place at halftime of the Hollins versus Sweet Briar soccer match. In front of a huge crowd of students, alums, administrators, professors, family, and friends the two foes would do battled to see who would be the latest winner in their long and storied rivalry.
  • Cross-Town Matchup Goes To Roanoke

    Hollins made the short trip south to Salem to face Roanoke College in their annual, cross-town, Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) match with the Maroons. Roanoke came into the contest looking to solidify a top four finish in the league, guaranteeing them a home match to start the 2017 ODAC Women's Soccer Tournament.

    As the October days begin to dwindle, Hollins entered the final eight days of her regular season with a trip to face Randolph-Macon College. The Yellow Jackets would take an early advantage, and despite a late first-half Hollins score, the home team would pick up the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) victory, 10-1.
  • Hollins Allows Quick Strike To Royals

    On the afternoon of a long-standing Hollins tradition, Tinker Day, Eastern Mennonite came to campus for an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) match. The Royals set the tone by scoring just seconds after the start of play and Hollins struggled to gain much offensive zone time as the deep Royals bench, 28 different players saw action, pressured Hollins all afternoon long.
  • Hollins Defense Challenges Randolph

    The Hollins soccer team welcomed Randolph College to campus on a beautiful fall afternoon. The WildCats came into the matchup just ahead of Hollins in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) standings. It marked the first of consecutive home matches against ODAC competition.

    The Hollins soccer team played host to Emory & Henry on Wednesday night. The match was played at Spartan Field on the campus of Salem High School under the lights in a rare "home" night game for the green and gold.

    For the second time this week, the Hollins soccer team was on the road in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play when they faced Guilford on Friday night. After falling to Shenandoah in Winchester on Wednesday, Hollins took another crack at picking up a conference road win.

    On Wednesday afternoon, the Hollins soccer team made the trip north to Winchester to face Shenandoah in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) action. The Hornets came into the match just one game ahead of their guests in the standings, with a win, Hollins would pass their rivals.

    After a pair of grueling Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) matches over the past seven days, the Hollins soccer team welcomed Trinity Washington for a non-conference matchup. The Tigers brought a three game win streak into the action while Hollins was looking for her first home win of the season.

    The Hollins soccer team faced a tough task on Wednesday afternoon as they made the trip north to Lexington to face Washington and Lee. The Generals were picked atop the 2017 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) preseason poll and brought a 1-0 league record into the contest.

    Fans of the Hollins University soccer team may have noticed something colorful on Saturday afternoon. Throughout the match with Bridgewater College, Hollins players and coaches wore rainbow laces as a part of Play With Pride week, a nationwide initiative from United Soccer Coaches (formerly the NSCAA) to celebrate the contributions of LGBT players, coaches, support staff, referees and fans to the game of soccer.

    The Hollins soccer team was back on campus after a two game road trip through Pennsylvania last weekend. Hollins played host to Gallaudet in their final non-conference matchup before the start of Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play.

    On Thursday afternoon, the Hollins soccer team boarded their bus to travel to the Smith River Sports Complex (Axton, Va.) to play William Peace University. The match, however, never took place as the Pacers experienced travel complications on their trip from Raleigh.

    For the second time in as many days, the Hollins soccer team was in action when they faced Valley Forge on Saturday afternoon. Hollins played Lincoln on Friday and stayed in the Philadelphia area over night to face the Patriots.

    For the first time this season, the Hollins soccer team went on the road in search of their first win of the season. Earlier in the week, the match against Greensboro was postponed due to lightning strikes so Hollins faced off with Lincoln in just their second match of the season.
  • Hollins Kicks Off 2017 Season

    The Hollins soccer team kicked off her 2017 season with a home match against Wesleyan College. The contest would start a half an hour early, trying to beat the inclement weather coming to the Roanoke Valley. The Wolves were able to break through the Hollins defense to start the scoring.
  • Hollins Picked 13th In ODAC Preseason Poll

    The Hollins University soccer team reported to campus yesterday and began preseason practice on Saturday morning. The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) released it's 2017 Women's Soccer Preseason Poll this afternoon and Hollins was picked to finish 13th, in a vote by the league's coaches.
