The highly talented Hornets wasted no time in greeting their visitors, scoring the first foal of the matchup less than four minutes into play.  Lynchburg continued to force the action as they used a extremely efficient offense in the first half, scoring on five of their 16 shots on goal.  The second half started with a pair of Hornet goals in the first five minutes of action.  Hollins was able to quiet the Hornet offense but only briefly.  Lynchburg added two more goals, making it five goals on seven shots.  The game went scoreless over the final 30 minutes of play as Lynchburg cruised to a 10-0 ODAC win.

Senior Bonnie Jo Blevins (Mars Hill, NC) played her final game in a Hollins uniform.  The four year player, three as a starter, served as team captain and helped to guide the team through a tough season of transition.  Keeper Megan McKee (Madison, AL) closed out her sophomore campaign with a 13 save effort.  McKee finished the season with 258 saves despite playing in only 12 of Hollins 16 games.  Her save total is not only tops in the ODAC, but she leads the nation in total saves and saves per game.

Lynchburg College got two goals apiece by Dessi Dupuy, Morgan Singer, Angels Bosco, and Marina Clark.  Bosco and Kelly Smith each added a pair of assists while Tess Frelick and Ashley Cox split time in goal for the Hornets.
