    The 2018 All-Independent Women's Lacrosse Schools (IWLS) Teams were announced on Thursday afternoon. First-year defender Carsen Helms was named All IWLS Second Team.

    After terrible storms in the Lynchburg area came through over the weekend, the Hollins at Randolph lacrosse game was in jeopardy due to a power outage on the WildCats campus. With the power restored, Hollins made the trip east to face Randolph on Tuesday night.

    The Hollins lacrosse team was back in action on Friday with a trip to Ferrum as the season enters its closing two weeks of play. The home standing Panthers struck first, scoring six times in the opening five minutes of play.

    The Hollins lacrosse team traveled to North Carolina to face the Knights of St. Andrews on the Tuesday of Spring Break. It was the second of consecutive road games for a Hollins squad that opened the season with four straight at home.
  • Hollins Faces First Road Test

    For the first time in 2018, the Hollins lacrosse team played a match outside of the Roanoke Valley when they made the trek east to face Old Dominion Athletic Conference rival Virginia Wesleyan. After their best offense output of the season on Wednesday, Hollins looked to build on that momentum against the Marlins.

    The final of four consecutive home matches for the Hollins lacrosse team took place on yet another frigid Wednesday afternoon. At least the two teams would not have to deal with the snow that marred the previous pair of contests as N.C. Wesleyan was the opponent. Each team came into the match looking for their first win of the season and it would be Hollins last chance to pick up a victory in front of the home faithful until later in the month.

    The Hollins lacrosse team played the third of their four game home stand to open the 2018 season when they played host to Heidelberg on Saturday afternoon. The Berg came in with a perfect 2-0 record while Hollins came looking to pick up their first victory of the season.
  • Weather A Factor Against Muskingum

    During the starting lineups and National Anthem in advance of the lacrosse game with Muskingum, the weather couldn't have been more perfect for a mid-March afternoon. However, the winds picked up and the snow began to fall so quickly that it made finding the ball a major issue for both teams during a first half that would see 28 combined turnovers.
  • Hollins Kicks Off 2018 Lacrosse Season

    The 2018 Hollins lacrosse team got her season off to a start on a cold Tuesday afternoon when they welcomed Wartburg College to town. The Knights, playing their second match of the season, jumped on the home team early and despite a much more competitive second half, Hollins fell in their season debut, 18-1.
