  • 2017 Lacrosse Season Comes To A Close

    The 2017 edition of the Hollins lacrosse team played her final regular season game of the year on Saturday afternoon. Hollins would travel to Methodist to face the Monarchs in their season finale.
  • WildCats Comes To Hollins In Finale

    For the final time this season, the Hollins lacrosse team defended her home turf when they played host to Randolph College. The WildCats came to town looking for their second win of the season while Hollins hoped to add another win in their home finale.
  • Hollins Wraps Up Road Trip
    March 24, 2017
    For the third time during the break, the Hollins lacrosse team put on their road uniforms when they faced Barton College on Friday night. Hollins looked to win for the second time in as many days while the DII Bulldogs took aim at their first win of the season. Barton would score the first two, and five of the first six, goals of the game to take control and go on to pick up the win, 21-11.
  • Helmbrecht Paces Hollins In Road Win

    Thursday night marked the mid-way point of the Hollins three game road trip over the break. After falling to LaGrange to start the week, Hollins traveled to North Carolina to face Montreat College looking to pick up their first road win of the season. The visitors scored the first two goals of the game and never looked back as Hollins used a 44-15 shot advantage to pick up the victory, 18-9.
  • Hollins Begins Road Trip

    After opening the season with five consecutive home games, the Hollins lacrosse team kicked off a three game road trip over their Spring Break. Hollins first stop on their road tour would be in Georgia against LaGrange on Tuesday afternoon.
  • Hollins Takes Quakers To The Wire

    In the final of five home games to start the season, Hollins hosted Wilmington College (OH) on a blistery Thursday afternoon. With both teams coming into the matchup looking to pick up their first win of the season, the game was not only close on the scoreboard but on the stat sheet as well. Wilmington took a five goal lead in the second half before a Hollins comeback cut the deficit to just two goals. Despite several late opportunities, Hollins was unable to complete the comeback and fell to the Quakers, 11-9.
  • Hollins Welcomes McDaniel In First Of Back To Back Games

    On the coldest day of the season, the Hollins lacrosse team began the first of back-to-back games on Moody Field. McDaniel made the trip from Maryland to face Hollins on Wednesday afternoon. The Green Terror controlled the draw circle throughout much of the matchup and the visitors kept the ball away from the Hollins offense en route to picking up the win, 20-1.
  • Hollins Can't Keep Pace With Pride

    Sunday afternoon marked the mid-way point of the Hollins home lacrosse schedule. Greensboro College was the opponent for Hollins third consecutive home game to start the season. The Pride used a sizable shot advantage in the first half to build a halftime lead. During the final 30 minutes. Hollins began to earn more time in the Greensboro zone but it wasn't enough as The Pride went on to post a 19-1 victory.
  • Helmbrecht Scores Seven Against Panthers

    The Hollins lacrosse team continued her four game home stretch to start the season. Ferrum College traveled to Roanoke on Thursday afternoon as Hollins looked to get in the win column against a Panther team coming in with a 3-1 record. For the first 20 minutes of play, Hollins stayed close, trailing just 6-4 with 12 minutes left in the first half. However, Ferrum began to gain control and Hollins couldn't keep up as the Panthers pulled away for a 21-7 non-conference victory.
  • Hollins Kicks Off 2017 Campaign

    The Hollins University lacrosse team started her 2017 season when they played host to Southern Virginia University on Tuesday afternoon. The final day of February marked the first of five consecutive home games for the young squad that features 10, first and second year players. The Knights came into the matchup looking to break a three game losing streak to start their season.
  • J-Term Spotlight: Lacrosse Team

    At Hollins, students have the opportunity in between semesters during January Term (J-Term for short) to take part in an internship, a course that involves traveling, or take a seminar class on campus they might not normally take during the fall and spring semesters.
