Scott Frasier took over as the head coach of the Hollins golf program in August of 2015. In 2003, Frasier began his work with Roanoke area junior golf as head pro at Hunting Hills Country Club. Under his tutelage, the junior golf team at Hunting Hills won the Roanoke Valley Junior Hall of Fame three different times. After Hunting Hills, Frasier served as the head or assistant professional at Lexington Country Club, Ashley Plantation, and Botetourt Golf and Swim Club.
In addition to teaching as a professional at different golf clubs, Frasier has served as a certified First Tee coach since 2010. First Tee’s mission is to impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf.
Frasier has strong ties to Division III golf having played at SUNY Cortland. During his collegiate playing career, Frasier earned the opportunity to compete in the NCAA Division III National Championships. After graduation, Frasier continued to excel on the course and later in his career was able to continue his winning ways. In 2005 Frasier won the Mid-Atlantic PGA Senior Head Pro Championship and one year later added the Virginia State Senior Open Championship to his resume.
