Lexington, VA - The second and final round of the General's Invitational, hosted by Washington and Lee, was played at the Lexington Golf and Country Club on Tuesday. Hollins finished the event in 12th place after competing on the par 72 layout. Hollins improved her score by 12 strokes from the opening round, but it wasn't enough to move up in the final standings.
After posting an opening round of 83, Shelby Estes shot a final round 87 to finish in 27th place. Shannon Ciccarello battled over the two days and improved her score by five strokes to move up the leader board. Fellow senior Amber Markovitz improved by four shots in posting her lowest round of the fall. Michelle DuCom, seven strokes, and Melissa Noles, 16 shots, both improved as Hollins saw four of her five golfers best their opening round scores.
Hollins has one more scheduled round this fall. The team will travel to New Orleans to play Loyola University in a dual match on October 13th.
