    The 2018 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Women's Basketball Tournament got started with a quartet of first round games on Monday night. Hollins made the trip north to Lexington to face Washington and Lee in the #5 vs. #12 matchup.

    For the final time in the 2017-18 regular season, the Hollins basketball team took the court looking to end the season on a two-game Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) win streak. To continue her winning ways, Hollins must turn the tables on an Eastern Mennonite team that won in Roanoke back on January 20th.

    The Hollins basketball team defended her home floor for the final time when Roanoke College made the short trip across town for a Valentine's Day matchup. Hollins came into their home finale looking to upset the Maroons and gain some much needed momentum with just days remaining in advance of the 2018 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Basketball Tournament.

    As the basketball season quickly comes to a close, Hollins made a trip to Bridgewater for an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) matchup on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles came into the game sitting in ninth looking to try to move up the standings in order to host a first round contest in the upcoming conference tournament while Hollins sits in 12th and in line for a matchup with the fifth place league finisher.

    The Hollins University basketball team lost a hard fought game at Washington and Lee back on January 20th and hosted the Generals in the rematch on Wednesday night. The home team would need a much better start than the one in Lexington that saw W&L race out to a big first quarter advantage before Hollins mounted a three quarter comeback.

    Saturday marked the first of three consecutive weekend road games for a Hollins team that enters the final two weeks of the regular season looking for positioning going into the 2018 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Tournament. Randolph College played host in a rematch of an earlier game this season that was won by the WildCats, 55-50.

    With the start of the second semester looming on Wednesday morning, Hollins played host to Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) rival Eastern Mennonite on Tuesday night. The Royals came in with a 5-5 league mark while Hollins would look to pull off the upset and pick up her first conference win of the season.

    In the rarest of occurrences, Hollins hosted Wilson College on a Sunday afternoon for a late season non-conference matchup. The game marked the third of a four game in seven day stretch for a weary Hollins squad that just returned from Virginia Wesleyan last night.

    Hollins made the long trek to the eastern shore on Saturday to face a Virginia Wesleyan team that came into the afternoon riding a four game Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) win streak. Since the turn of the calendar, the Marlins have won five of seven following a 3-8 start to the season. Hollins would look to end the Virginia Wesleyan run but would need to recapture the offensive rhythm they had found against Lynchburg earlier this week.

    Following a slow start that thwarted a comeback bid in Lexington on Saturday, Hollins looked to get out quickly against Lycnhburg College on Wednesday night. The Hornets came into the game tied for the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) lead with a 6-2 conference mark.

    The Hollins basketball team faced a tough task on Thursday night when they welcomed the defending Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Champions, Guilford College. The game was moved from the previous night due to weather and travel concerns and marked a rematch from an earlier game in Greensboro, which was won by the Quakers.

    Due to the inclement weather in the region, the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) basketball game between Guiflord and Hollins has been postponed. The game has been rescheduled and will be played tomorrow night.
  • Rematch Goes To Yellow Jackets

    Hollins traveled to Ashland to try to exact a bit of revenge against a Randolph-Macon team that defeated them in their first Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) home game of the season way back in early December. The young Hollins squad has been gaining conference experience and playing much better than earlier in the season and would need to try to find a way to shut down the ODAC's premiere scorer and rebounder, Kelly Williams.

    For the second consecutive game, the Hollins basketball team welcomed an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) foe to town. After seeing Shenandoah pull way in the closing minutes on Saturday, Hollins took a crack at the WildCats of Randolph on Wednesday night. Coming into the matchup the two teams posted identical records with the winner moving up in the ODAC standings.

    Saturday afternoon marked the rematch of a nail biter from one season ago as Shenandoah University came to town for an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) matchup. The Hornets hit a buzzer beater at Hollins last season to pull off a, last second, 54-52 victory. Today did not disappoint as the two teams played a closely contested affair that once again came down to the final possessions.

    The Hollins basketball team kicked off 2018 with a home win on Tuesday night and looked to make it three in a row when they made the trip south to Emory & Henry. The Wasps hosted Hollins in her first Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) game of the new year.

    After closing out 2017 with a win at Notre Dame, Hollins looked to issue in the new year by running her win streak to two games when they hosted Central Penn College on Tuesday night. Both Hollins and the Knights came in off wins and looked to continue their winning ways in 2018.

    For the final time in 2017, the Hollins basketball team was in action with a semester ending trip to Baltimore. Hollins faced off with Notre Dame of Maryland less than 10 days ahead of Christmas. Three different Hollins players grabbed double-digit rebounds to lead them past the Gators, 52-43.

    On the final day of classes for the fall semester, Hollins traveled to face Gallaudet in our nation's capital. With finals quickly approaching, the green and gold would have one last shot at picking up a road win prior to the exam break while the Bison were looking to break a two game home losing streak.

It was the first game for both conference foes as league play started on Tuesday night. The defending ODAC Champion Quakers came into the season ranked fifth in the 2017-18 ODAC Women's Basketball Preseason Poll.

    For the first time this season, the Hollins basketball team defended her home court when they faced Methodist University. After opening the season with three straight road games, Hollins was hoping that the familiar surroundings would net their first win of the 2017-18 campaign.

    For the third time in as many games, the Hollins basketball team went on the road to start the 2017-18 campaign. The final trip of the three game road swing was a visit to Danville to face Averett University. It was the final game before the Thanksgiving break and last chance to pick up her first victory of the season.

    For the second time this week, the Hollins basketball team went on the road in search of picking up an early season victory. After struggling against Salem College in her opener, Hollins traveled back to North Carolina to face Pfeiffer University on Friday night.

    The 2017-18 basketball season got started on Wednesday night. Hollins would travel to Winston-Salem to face Salem College in the first of three consecutive road games to kick off the new campaign. With six new faces on the roster, Coach Jenny Logan would get her first look at her young squad against NCAA competition.

    The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) released their 2017-18 Women's Basketball Preseason Poll. The poll was released at the annual ODAC Media Day held at the Salem Civic Center. The league's 12 coaches voted on the poll and Hollins was tabbed to finish 12th.
