Fall Equestrian Season Ends At Sweet Briar

Sweet Briar, VA - The 2016 fall equestrian season came to a close with the Sweet Briar Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) event on Saturday afternoon. Hollins and nine of her regional rivals competed at the show with Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) foe Bridgewater College being named Champion. Lynchburg College was named Reserve Champion while Hollins finished in a fourth place tie with Washington and Lee. 

Maddy Lohr and Dade Hundertmark each earned a blue ribbon and first place points. Lohr headed the field in Open Fences with Hundertmark bringing home her ribbon in Advanced Walk Trot Canter.

Randi Byrd brought home a 3rd place ribbon in Open Flat with Kate McNamee giving Hollins 3rd place points in Intermediate Fences. Heavon Allen was responsible for another 3rd place ribbon in Open Fences as well as a 4th in Intermediate Flat. Madi Hurley, Intermediate Flat, and Jessica Michael, Novice Flat, rounded out the top four finishers for Hollins.
