Roanoke, VA - The Hollins Fall Horse Show took place over the weekend. It marked a break in the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) schedule and was the first home event of the 2016-17 season for Hollins.
The Hollins riders enjoyed success at the show with several of the current riders securing ribbons. Allison Sherwood claimed three, first place finishes in Children's Hunter and was named Champion. Katelyn Mosmiller also earned Champion recognition in Special Children's Hunter, claiming a first and second place ribbon.
Randi Byrd and Madi Hurley continued the excellent start to their seasons by each being named Reserve Champion. In Adult Hunter, Hurley earned a first, second, and fourth and claimed third in SWVHJA Adult Medal. Byrd, competing in Special Adult Hunter, finished first, second, and fourth under saddle.
Hollins will travel to Lexington to compete at the House Mountain Horse Show. The two day event will be held at the Virginia Horse Center on October 8th and 9th.
