Hollins Soccer Gives To Community

Hollins Soccer Gives To Community

Roanoke, VA - The week before the Hollins campus closed for Thanksgiving break, the soccer team went into the community to help some children have a pre-holiday treat. The team went to the Roanoke Academy for Math and Science (RAMS) for an afternoon of learning and fun.

Head coach Robin Ramirez and the Hollins players went to the local school for a day of playing and teaching soccer to the class. After sharing a snack with the children, the players went to the classroom to read to the students on their "fun Friday".

The event has become an annual tradition for coach Ramirez and the team to visit RAMS, where coach's wife, Maryanne, is a teacher.
