ODAC Releases 2016-17 Swim Preseason Poll

Forest, VA - Friday marked a pair of milestones for the 2016-17 edition of the Hollins swim team. Hollins is to open their season later tonight when they compete in the Converse All Women's Invitational in South Carolina. But first tings first, the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) announced it's Women's Swimming Preseason Poll.

After being picked last one season ago, Hollins was tabbed to finish fifth in the 2016-17 addition of the poll. The poll is established via a vote of the league's coaches and Hollins will not have to wait long to face her ODAC rivals as the ODAC Relay Meet is scheduled for next Saturday, October 15th, and will be hosted by defending champion Washington and Lee in Lexington.

Hollins returns a solid core of swimmers from last years sixth place ODAC Swim Championship roster. Debra Henke earned a pair of finals appearances in her first-year campaign and Dani Raymond returns after a near perfect regular season in the distance events.

After starting the season in a pair of invitational style events, they will get started in dual/tri-meet action when they host Greensboro and Guilford on Saturday, October 22nd.
